Crandall is a resident of Pacific Palisades and a professor at UCLA’s School of Medicine in the prenatal genetics program. SATURDAY, MARCH 31 The Pacific Palisades Historical Society is sponsoring a bus tour to visit two locations serving those interested in researching family history. The bus leaves Los Liones Drive (just above Sunset) at 9:15 a.m. (See story, page 10.) Palisades Community Volunteer Day, sponsored by Palisades Cares and the Palisades Presbyterian Church, 3 to 5 p.m. in Janes Hall at the church, corner of Sunset and El Medio. (See story, page 1.) MONDAY, APRIL 2 Ellen Travis will exhibit her paintings in the Palisades Branch Library community room today through April 30. Half of the proceeds from the sale of her work will be donated to the Pacific Palisades Art Association. The library is open until 8 p.m. weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The Pacific Palisades Garden Club hosts horticulturalist Lili Singer, who will talk about ‘Tough Plants for Tough Places,’ 7:30 p.m. at the Woman’s Club, 901 Haverford.
