Faherty and Veronica Beard to Open Soon

Palisades Village has revealed its most recent tenant to join the development that officially opened on September 22, 2018: Brandy Melville.
The incoming brand was added to the Palisades Village website, where Brandy Melville is now listed as “Coming Soon.”
“Brandy has become a cult favorite of fashionistas everywhere,” the Palisades Village website explained. “The Brandy Melville style ranges from loose-fitting off-the-shoulder tees, to soft angora sweaters and stylish dresses. Women of every age can find something at Brandy Melville to fit their style, closet and budget.”
Brandy Melville stores offer women’s clothing and accessories, including dresses, sweaters, bodysuits and jumpers. The “basics” line features items like the Jessie Top, available for $20, and Travis Denim Jackets for $45.
The Italian-founded clothing and fashion brand was established in 1970 by Silvio Marsan and his son. Most of the apparel is offered in one size, which, when ordering from the website, is listed as the size it is closest to, including “fits size X-small/small” or “fits size small/medium.”
Brandy Melville, which focuses mostly on word-of-mouth and social media instead of advertising, opened its first retail store in 2009 at UCLA in Westwood. By 2015, 65 stores were opened worldwide.
Today, the brand currently operates stores in 22 states and Washington, D.C.—with over 30 stores in California, including Santa Monica and The Grove.
Two additional Palisades Village stores are eyeing openings in the next few weeks: Veronica Beard and Faherty.
Veronica Beard, which is opening next to Alo Yoga on Swarthmore, will open its sixth retail store on March 13. This will be the brand’s second store in California, with the other location on Melrose Avenue.
The store offers “American, ready-to-wear” clothing. The brand was founded in 2010 by sisters-in-law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard.
“We want each Veronica Beard store to have its own DNA and to feel special,” Veronica Swanson Beard said in a press release. “People want to be surprised and delighted, so we sought to create an exciting and inviting store environment that we thought would appeal to our Palisades Village customer while also making them feel like they’re at home in our world.”
Faherty, which will be located between St. Frank and Chanel Beauté, will open its Palisades Village doors on February 15.
The clothing store, launched by twin brothers Alex and Mike Faherty, will feature items for men, women and children.
“Interior designers Ryan Lawson and Ninie Norris (founders Mike and Alex Faherty’s mom) are teaming up once more to furnish Faherty’s new 1,336-square-foot Palisades outpost,” a press release reported. “The store’s interior will carry through the white brick that is seen throughout the exterior of the old-fashioned village, white oak floors covered with layered Swedish rungs, pagoda beam slats and the brand’s iconic straw-thatched hut above the cash register.”
The Palisades Village shop will be the eighth retail location for the brand and the second brick-and-mortar storefront in the Los Angeles area—following the first West Coast store, which opened in Malibu in 2016.
