The Palisades High varsity baseball team had a gameplan for Monday’s nonleague matchup at Granada Hills: score one run and build off it.
The Dolphins got two runs in the top of the sixth inning on RBIs by Tyler Yeh and Matt Silvera to take a 2-0 lead and end a stretch of 20 scoreless innings — a drought that spanned four games — only to see the Highlanders rally for a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh to win 3-2.
Yeh went 3-for-3 with a double and Leo Bucksbaum allowed two hits in five and two-thirds innings with five strikeouts and one walk, but seven errors ultimately cost Palisades (2-4) the victory.
