Region 69 AYSO will hold tryouts for the EXTRA program that allows soccer players to participate in a more competitive environment and play on the same team with the same players. The program has been described as All-Stars year round.
Players must have completed one year of AYSO and may come from AYSO, club or other recreational programs.
“We are looking for the strongest, most committed and skilled players,” said AYSO 69 Commissioner Janet Anderson, noting that plans are to form U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14 boy and girls teams.
There are three tryout sessions for each age group and players must attend at least two of the three. Players will be evaluated by UK clinic coaches, who work with Region 69’s league and All-Star teams, and who also run the AYSO Spring League.
Tryouts will begin Sunday, March 3, at Paul Revere and Palisades High School. Visit: AYSO69.org for specifics.
