Elyse Rozinsky, a 17-year Palisadian, started her transformation journey at Studio K 10 months ago. Recruited to try an intro K Training group session with her support group of Weight Watchers, she started on her path.
“It was a challenging beginning but Susan made it fun and achievable. The heart rate monitoring system and the modifications gave me the safety and confidence to challenge myself at a comfortable pace without worrying about my knees and overextending myself. Back in those days, I had to use two resistance belts to do the exercises,” Rozinsky said.
It didn’t embarrass her; it only gave her motivation in the supportive environment to take her high-intensity interval workouts to a new level. Fast-forward six weeks into training and she no longer needed two belts. Training once a week, she lost 10 pounds and was using only one resistance belt for the functional movement exercises.
Her progress didn’t stop there. She increased her workouts to three times a week on the treadmill with the cardio and core program and was introduced to K trainer Jordan Glueck. His high energy and knowledge helped her realize the benefits of personal training and she continued to see progress in many aspects of wellness as she started training once a week with him.
“I’ve never felt better. I’m stronger and healthier but also no longer have knee and sciatic issues. All my joints were wobbly before and now they aren’t,” Rozinsky said.
Rozinsky is radiant with her new outlook on life. Rozinsky used to dread stairs and was not able to find consistency in training. Studio K is now her place of comfort. She embraces the thought of climbing the stairs at the big movie theaters and enjoys the thrill of doing run/walk intervals on the treadmill.
“It feels good here. It’s fresh, clean, and convenient with nice, personable, trained professionals. They have a sincere interest in getting you results and the system is easy, manageable and goes at a pace that works for me,” she said. “I feel like I float now, instead of plodding along, and I sleep better too.”
With her new attitude and outlook comes a new outer shell as well. She now is 40 pounds lighter and five dress sizes smaller. It’s a sheer delight to hear the enthusiasm in her voice and see the sparkle in her eyes. She values the gift of health and the opportunities she has because of it.
“K training has transformed me in my physicality, I am stronger, leaner and healthier. I am using muscles that were dormant and it’s making it easier to do all the things I like to do when I’m not at Studio K,” Rozinsky said.
Her transformation brings a message. Rozinsky encourages others to “find a path that works for you and do the best you can. Don’t worry that you fall off, just jump back on. When you find something that works for you stick with it.”
