Palisades High’s boys basketball program made the state playoffs in head coach Vejas Anaya‘s first season and the Dolphins hope to challenge for the City Section title this winter.
One of several new players who could make an immediate impact is sophomore Ron Artest III, son of Pali High girls assistant coach Metta World Peace.
“It’s a good fit because Metta’s daughter played here and obviously he’s familiar with the school and our program. What I like about Ron is his work ethic. He’s just a great human being and I’m looking forward to coaching him.”
The Dolphins also have several transfers along with key returners like Tucker Steil, Michael Fry, Shane Williams and Joseph Robinson.
