After an exciting fall season, the Palisades Tennis Center hosted the Pacific Palisaddes Elementary School League finals last Saturday and after several hours of quality play it was Village School emerging victorious.
In the playoff round St. Matthew’s defeated Calvary Christian to advance to the finals. There, Village swept St. Matthew’s 3-0 to win its first league title.
At the No. 1 doubles position, Village’s Tommy Conlin and Kellen Georgi prevailed 6-3 over the St. Matthew’s duo of Alex Dutka and Bronwen Roosa.
At No. 2 doubles, Charlie Doris and Evan Hanning of Village won their set 6-4 against Nathaniel Dupuis and Oliver O’Connor.
At No. 3 doubles the Village pair of George Lazenby and Matteen Sharifi defeated Jack Carpenter and Samantha Momtazee of St. Matthews, 6-1.
Also contributing to Village’s success during the season were Kara Yoon and Alexandra Jewison. The PTC school league will start up again in January.
