Cancel your weekend plans and get those sweatpants ready—after one year and a half since the pilot’s premiere, Amazon Prime has released their new original crime series “Sneaky Pete.”
Created by TV’s favorite dad-turned-Bad Bryan Cranston, and Palisadian and Emmy Award-winning “House” producer David Shore, “Sneaky Pete” follows Marius—a con man played by Giovanni Ribisi—who assumes the identity of his former prison cellmate, Pete.
It has already proven such a hit that last week Amazon renewed it for a second series.
On the run from a ruthless mobster, played by Cranston, Marius finds refuge with Pete’s estranged family—a brusque group of bail bondsmen who entice him into the family business. As Marius hoodwinks the colorful bunch, the criminal-turned-criminal-snatcher weaves himself deeper into the “family he’s never had.”
Living up to it’s namesake, this sharp and profoundly human deep-seated drama will leave you rooting for the miscreants of mayhem. But just remember, when it comes to lies—truth can be “sneaky” too.
Described by viewers as “totally binge-worthy,” you can now catch the entire first season of “Sneaky Pete” on Amazon Prime.
