The seventh annual “Dribble for the Cure” fundraiser, an event supporting the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation) took place Sunday at UCLA and Palisades High junior Zach Senator raised more than $22,000. His Team Jackson, comprised of friends and family from the Palisades community, raised over $30,000 in all and he won the top individual award.
Senator lost his 8-year-old brother Jackson to cancer in 2008 and two years later decided to make “Dribble for the Cure” his Bar Mitzvah project at Kehillat Israel.
Last year, Team Jackson raised over $38,500 and Senator raised over $24,000 of that himself.
