The Palisades High varsity baseball team opened winter league play Saturday afternoon, dropping a doubleheader to the Thunder (a travel team consisting of players from several schools) by 6-1 and 4-1 scores at George Robert Field.
“There were some good things and some things we need to work on,” Coach Mike Voelkel said. “Josh Holmes and Joe Fasano were outstanding in the field. They made tough plays look easy.”
