Although their final game resulted in a 1-0 playoff loss to Marina on Monday, it was a season full of winning for Harvard-Westlake High senior field hockey players Maddie Oswald and Brooke Reese.
The Palisadians paced the Wolverines to their third straight Sunset League title and both will continue their careers at the next level.
Oswald, a starting forward and co-captain, piled up 21 goals and 22 assists this season and set the Wolverines’ career scoring record with 41 goals and 50 assists. She was the league’s Most Valuable Offensive Player last year. Oswald, who lives in the Alphabet Streets, has committed to play for Georgetown next fall.
Reese, who plays center midfield and defense, went to St. Matthew’s and lives off of Bienveneda. She scored two goals with three assists this season, bringing her career varsity totals to seven goals and four assists. Reese won the Most Improved Player at last year’s team banquet and has committed to Yale.
