Firefighters fought two separate blazes in a three-day period in Pacific Palisades starting on Thursday, Oct. 23 and ending Saturday morning, Oct. 25.
One person was suffered injuries as a result of one of the fires.
The first incident was reported just after 10 p.m. Thursday near Murphy Ranch in Rustic Canyon Park.
Firefighters used both air and ground attacks because of rugged terrain to control the flames.
The brush fire took nearly four hours to knock down and left two acres of hillside blackened, according to Erik Scott, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
No structures were threatened and no one was injured. An arson investigator was called down to the scene.
The second fire took place in a home in the 900 block of Enchanted Way Saturday morning about 7:30 a.m. in the Marquez Knolls neighborhood
Firefighters again responded quickly and extinguished the flames within 23 minutes. The fire started in the fireplace spreading to the home’s walls.
A man, who was home at the time, suffered minor burns to his hand. He was treated at the scene and went to the hospital in his own vehicle, Scott said.
