When last Friday’s scrimmage against San Fernando was canceled the Palisades High football team had an intrasquad scrimmage instead and several players stood out at Stadium by the Sea.
One was junior linebacker Alec Simpson, who forced two fumbles, recovering both, and added an interception return for a touchdown. Dhaamir Lomax had an interception and safety Duane McBroom also had a strong outing. Receiver Herbert Acosta caught two touchdown passes.
“It’s okay that we didn’t scrimmage San Fernando because I love it when we go against our own guys,” Hyde said.
The Dolphins will have another night practice tomorrow in preparation for next Friday’s beseason opener at Marshall.
